Little girl revise

MUCH better! I'm a lot more happier with the little girl's design now. *took a while to figure out what I wanted* also, she has a name now! Loppi! *pronounced Low-pee* Will it be used in the film? no. But I prefer giving names to my characters, so that I get a feel for them as a character more then just a drawing. Or series there of.
So there she is, little Loppi in all her glory. The father is coming out nicely too! Will post soon.

character sketch dump 1

Been working on character designs. As the baker is pretty fleshed out as a character I already have, I am focusing on the little girl and her father. Once I have them churned out, I'll get to the look of the general crowd. I want to have the characters somewhat resemble food or garments you would see in a bakery. It's a fun experiment.





The last image is a working turn around for the little girl. I like her head a lot, but I'm probably going to change her body into something tinier and more abstract. I'm still fleshing it out.

project begins

Welcome to my new blog, keeping you up to date with a new short film I am working on, working title being "THAT!". The film will be in 2D/3D much like Beauty and the Beast, with 3D environments and 2D characters. I have always loved this idea, and now I'm finally going to implement it. So here is the story 3 sentence synopsis.

A girl closing her bakery, finally finishes cleaning the display glass. A father and daughter walk in and proceed to mark up her freshly clean glass. OCD madness ensues.

I'm giving myself pretty tight deadlines with this one, much like my senior project. I'm excited. To start things off, here is THAT!'s mood board.



as you can tell it's very, very pink. I'm so excited about modeling the bakery, cupcakes and adorable desserts is something I love so much! They are just so visually exciting. Also some Lolita influence as far as the baker's clothes go. Next post will be character designs and other fun things! Stay tuned!
